Marble is a perennial favourite of mine – a timeless, durable and surprisingly versatile material that never looks tired. So, for my latest ‘best of’ round-up, I thought I’d update the selection of marble coffee and side tables that I originally shared a few years ago.
Marble is often thought of as glamorous and decadent, but it works brilliantly in minimalist schemes. It looks particularly striking when paired with clean-lined, contemporary design, and it can be offset with all sorts of other surfaces to create an elegant note of contrast. Of course it’s rarely cheap, and the below selection contains several pieces that would definitely be classed as investments! But there are also some bargains for well under £500, proving that the marble look needn’t be out of reach even if your budget isn’t huge…
