Well, after a month’s rainfall in a couple of days, it’s beginning to feel distinctly autumnal here in the UK. Never mind – it’s the perfect excuse to snuggle up and browse through some of the gorgeous new-season homeware collections that are starting to emerge.
One of my favourites so far is from Danish brand Broste Copenhagen. Its autumn and winter range blends classic Nordic design with rich, jewel-like hues (emerald green, burnt orange, peacock blue) that are ideal for adding warmth in the colder months. But there’s a lightness to the textures, shapes and colours that means they’ll look great in spring and summer, too; I particularly love the dusty pastel shades of the linen tablecloths, and the nods to Japanese simplicity in the mottled ceramics and bamboo lightshades. What’s more, the range was photographed in a beautiful Copenhagen apartment, which provides plenty of design inspiration in its own right!
Head over to Broste Copenhagen’s website for the full range and details of stockists near you.
