Last week saw Copenhagen host its annual '3 Days of Design' festival, and although I decided not to attend this year (I'm not quite ready to travel internationally again yet), I've been lapping up the various exhibitions and installations from afar. One that I found particularly inspiring was New Works' redecorated showroom, and I couldn't resist sharing the press photos . . .
Easy autumn updates for the home
It's getting darker and colder by the day, but I have to admit I love this time of year. There's something special about these first weeks of autumn: the hint of crispness in the air, the misty mornings, the tinges of gold in the trees... I always enjoy watching the natural world change around me, and it's a great excuse to make a few updates inside the home, too . . .
Soft minimalism from Tine K Home’s latest collection
I have some more new-season gorgeousness to share with you today, this time from Tine K Home. I always look forward to its collections as much for the beautiful locations as anything else, and the latest hasn't disappointed. Styled and photographed at a contemporary timber-clad house on the Danish coast, it's a great example of how minimalist design can be warm, soft and welcoming . . .
The Edit | A morning at your desk
It's time for another instalment of 'The Edit' - my ongoing series sharing curated selections to help you make the most of simple, relaxed moments at home and beyond - and today I'm focusing on mornings at your desk. A warm, minimalist kitchen from Nicolaj Bo
I'm starting the week with some inspiration from Danish kitchen-design studio Nicolaj Bo. They've just completed the open-plan kitchen and dining area of a Copenhagen family home, and it's a great example of how minimalist decor can be warm, welcoming and very practical to live with . . .
The autumn-winter 2021 collection from Ferm Living
There's no 'new finds' post from me this month as I want to focus on a few more autumn-winter interiors collections instead. Today it's the turn of Ferm Living, whose calm, elegant and gently playful selection instantly caught my eye. This season, the Danish brand has honed in on the concept of our homes being our sanctuaries . . .
Carl Hansen & Søn’s short table bench styled two ways
[Advertisement - this is a paid partnership with Carl Hansen & Søn] I've aways loved timeless, multifunctional design - the kind of thing you can invest in safely, knowing it won't ever date and will evolve with you as your home and lifestyle change. And today I want to introduce you to a brilliant example from Carl Hansen & Søn: a short version of Danish designer Børge Mogensen's . . .
21 of the best desk chairs
As summer draws to a close, many of us are turning our thoughts towards work, and there's definitely a back-to-school feeling about this time of year. So, it seems like a good point to share a round-up of the best desk chairs, with a focus on designs that offer a balance between form and function . . .
The autumn-winter 2021 collection from Menu
It's that time of year when details of new-season interiors collections start to emerge, so I'll be featuring a few of my favourites over the coming weeks. First up is Danish brand Menu, with a combination of earthy neutrals, tactile materials and warm, autumnal hues that's sure to inspire . . .
The Edit | Breakfast in bed
Is there anything better than a lazy breakfast in bed? It's one of my favourite ways to unwind at the weekend, and it's a treat I'm indulging in on a daily basis at the moment as I'm taking a brief summer break from work. So, it only seemed appropriate to make it the focus of this latest instalment of 'The Edit' - my monthly series sharing a curated selection of buys to help you make the most of . . .
