One of the things I enjoy most about Copenhagen's annual '3 Days of Design' is the chance to peek inside spaces that aren't normally accessible to the public. There are open showrooms, innovative installations and exhibitions in unusual places, but my favourites are always the real-life homes. And my first highlight from this year's festival is an example of just that . . .
A stay at Hotel Sct Thomas in Copenhagen
[Advertisement - this post is based on a press stay, but all words and opinions are my own] I spent last week in Denmark enjoying 3 Days of Design - Copenhagen's annual design festival, which sees hundreds of open showrooms, exhibitions, talks and workshops taking place around the city. It's one of my favourite events of the year, and I always come back brimming with ideas and inspiration. . . .
Six ways to use cool metallics in your home
Cool-toned metals such as stainless steel, chrome, nickel and aluminium are definitely having a moment. Now I'm not one to follow trends, and I firmly believe in investing in homeware that will stand the test of time - but despite their current popularity, I think cool metallics fit into that category. 20 of the best timeless wooden dining chairs
When it comes to creating a beautiful dining area, many people assume the table is the most important element. But in my experience it's actually the chairs which make or break the scheme. [Advertisement – this is a paid partnership with Carl Hansen & Søn, but all words and opinions are my own] For me, the way a space feels is just as important as the way it looks.
