I’m very excited to share my first post in the monthly Urban Jungle Bloggers series, which is hosted by Igor of Happy Interior Blog and Judith of JOLIEX.com. Together they’ve built up an international community of people who are passionate about bringing greenery into their homes and sharing ideas with others, and it always gives me plenty of inspiration. Even more excitingly, the theme this . . .
Home tour | A striking fusion of styles in London
This stunning Peckham townhouse instantly caught my eye when it was featured on Att Pynta, a wonderful site brimming with Scandinavian homewares and inspiration. Home to writer Jo Boissevain and artist Dirk Larsen, who have recently relocated to South London from Bristol, it oozes style from top to bottom. What I love most is how the couple have successfully incorporated a range of influences . . .
Hanging planters
There’s a pesky little corner of my kitchen that’s very hard to dress – it’s too small to do much with, but it looks very stark without any decoration. Home tour | A happy house in Bradford on Avon
Sylvie Pender (whose beautiful garden I recently featured) has filled her Wiltshire home with colour, character and cheer. There’s something instantly uplifting about it; step into the flagstone-floored, stone-walled weaver’s cottage and stresses seem to melt away. While Sylvie was growing up her parents owned a series of B&Bs in Bath, all offering eclectic decoration and a warm welcome for . . .
‘The Sawyer’ | A rustic wreath
I’ve fallen in love with 'The Sawyer' - a beautiful wreath from Ruby & The Wolf (recently profiled on These Four Walls). It’s bursting with greenery - pine, eucalyptus, cypress, Spanish moss and silver brunia - and adorned with berries, seeds, feathers and dried pine cones. It looks stunning on festive doors, and also makes a lovely table arrangement when paired with chunky church candles. It . . .
