Cat versus half-built flatpack cupboard. You can a Cat versus half-built flatpack cupboard. You can almost see the battle going on inside his head. And a good job he didn't jump as we hadn't put the top on yet so he would have fallen straight through.

Not the kind of thing I normally post - and a bit wobbly because I was laughing so much - but too funny not to share.

Hellebores in vases, hellebores on the wall, and s Hellebores in vases, hellebores on the wall, and sneak little peeks at our cottage renovation so far. I can't show much more as the living room is currently full of our newly delivered kitchen, the living-room furniture is piled up in what will be the dining room, and we can't even get in the guest bedroom for boxes. In fact we'd called the estate agent by the time we got back to Bristol, and our house was on the market within a fortnight!

Small joys amid the renovation chaos today: beauti Small joys amid the renovation chaos today: beautiful spring light, discovering the copper beech tree in our garden has blossomed, and sitting down to read @thedesignchaser's wonderful new book The Quiet Home (which includes a photo of our previous house). And laughing at a cat who thinks he's good at hiding but really isn't!
