Today I'm continuing my series of interviews with independent designers and artists by talking to ceramicist Reesha Zubair, whose work has captivated me ever since I first stumbled across her Instagram page - in fact she featured in a 'minimalist makers' round-up on here not so long ago. Based just a few streets away from me in Bristol, southwest England, she hand-crafts stunning vessels . . .
Design project | A minimalist living room in beige, white & walnut
It's not often I get to share my finished client designs. Many people (understandably) are reluctant to have their homes featured online, and in any case lockdown has made it virtually impossible for me to visit them to take photos over the last year. Home tour | A beautiful combination of warm wood & cool grey
In the last couple of years grey seems to have largely been replaced by beige as the neutral of choice, but I still think grey interiors can be beautiful - and this home is a stunning example of how to make them work. Located in Saltsjöbaden in the Stockholm Archipelago, it's elegant, timeless and inviting, with a wonderful interplay between warmer and cooler colours and materials . . .
New finds | June 2021
The arrival of June - and summer (hooray!) - means it's time for my regular round-up of new design finds and interesting product launches. Catching my eye this month are stunning art prints, minimalist reed diffusers, beautiful ceramics, a gorgeous table lamp and two classic Danish Modern chairs that are now going into production for 21st-century interiors. Just read on for details... . . .
