There's a common assumption that minimalist design isn't compatible with busy family life, but the stunning Swedish home of Johanna Haglund is proof that it can be. Johanna is the founder of Design Of, which makes understated, versatile and long-lasting furniture from solid steel, and she and her husband designed and built the house themselves . . .
Colour inspiration with Crown Paints x Elle Decoration
[Advertisement – this is a paid partnership with Crown Paints, but all words and opinions are my own] One of my favourite-ever collaborations was working with Crown Paints to style a room set demonstrating my personal take on colour. ‘The Sculptor’s Residence’ by Norm Architects, Dux & Menu
What a busy month of travel I've had. I'd barely landed back from my trip to Finnish Lapland before I was off again, this time to Stockholm for its annual Design Week. I visit every year if I can and it's always inspiring, with more than 400 exhibitions and events across the city, as well as the huge Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair taking place on its outskirts . . .
