Just a very short post today to wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy New Year. I'm taking a break over the festive period to relax with family and friends after what turned out to be a momentous 2017 - I got married in May, left my job to blog full-time in August, and travelled to Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Italy and beyond. I'll be back in early January with more design and travel inspiration, . . .

December seems to be flying by, and I can't believe Christmas is now just over a week away. Although I put most of our decorations up a while ago (blogging means doing it a lot earlier than I used to!), a few additional festive touches have crept in over the past couple of days. . . .

![[AD - PR product] I'm getting in the mood for my trip to the Norwegian Arctic on Thursday with 'Skydance' by @aulilondon - a scented candle inspired by the ethereal magic of the Northern Lights. With layers of pine, Siberian fir, cedarwood and iris, it's delicate, fresh, uplifting and gently mysterious - it somehow really does capture the wonder of the Aurora.
I've been lucky enough to see the Northern Lights a few times before, in Iceland and Finnish Lapland (pictured). I'm keeping everything crossed they make an appearance in Norway, especially as the friend I'm travelling with has never seen them, despite living in Sweden for several years! The weather forecast isn't looking too promising at the moment though...
