Following last week’s round-up of festive inspiration from around the web, here’s a peek at how I’ve decorated my own home this year.
My theme is rustic greenery, so I’ve used eucalyptus on fireplaces and doorways. I bought it fresh from a local flower shop and it’s now started to dry out, but it smells wonderfully fragrant and still looks very festive. I’ve also decorated the hearth with silver stars suspended from a length of baker’s twine, and added candles in metallic holders for a bit of festive sparkle. The tree is adorned with glass baubles, birds and butterflies that I’ve collected over the years, together with some white star-shaped decorations picked up at Butlers. Finally, on the front door is ‘The Sawyer’ wreath from Bristol-based florist Ruby & The Wolf.
