Moody bathroom inspiration from Menu

We’re just starting to think about redesigning our bathroom, which hasn’t had any attention since we bought our house a couple of years ago. As a result, I’ve spent a lot of this past weekend scouring the web for inspiration, and I couldn’t resist sharing some beautiful new images from Menu which I came across in the process.

Created to showcase items from Menu’s collection, the photos were shot in a stunning bathroom which mixes moody grey tiling and a black marble sink with brass fixtures and fittings. The overall effect is minimalist yet decadent, and it has a dark, cocooning air that reminds me of Moroccan hammams – perfect if you want a bathroom where you can switch off and forget about the outside world.

The products on display include a floor mirror and bathroom accessory range designed for Menu by Norm Architects, which are made of powder-coated aluminium to give a sleek and durable finish. Also on show is Nick Ross’ ‘Darkly’ mirror, inspired by primitive Stone Age mirrors that are said to have been created from ceramic bowls full of water. But most striking for me is DUBOKK’s brass and crystal ‘Stem’ vase, which was conceived to show off the beauty of a single bloom in an almost scientific way, and brings a hint of nature into the otherwise angular space.
