I’m excited to announce the realisation of a long-held dream: my first book!
Published by Ryland Peters & Small, with photography by Benjamin Edwards, The Soft Minimalist Home – Calm, Cozy Decor for Real Lives and Spaces introduces a relaxed, liveable approach to minimalism and dispels the myth that minimalist interiors are stark, soulless boxes with no personality.
As well as sharing practical advice on colour, layout, lighting, texture and more, I’ll show you around 15 beautiful homes across the UK and Europe, exploring how a diverse range of people have crafted pared-back spaces that are warm, welcoming and as individual as they are. There are homes large and small, new and old, urban and rural, rented and owned – homes for families, single people and couples. Together, they demonstrate that minimalist interiors can be cosy, full of character and attainable for all, no matter what your budget or the type of property you live in.
Throughout, I hope to show that minimalism does not necessarily mean living with less, but rather freeing up space for the things you truly cherish – and inspire you to harness the mood-boosting benefits of soft, minimalist decor for yourself.
