New designs from Stelton

More Danish design news for you today, this time from Stelton – a favourite of style-conscious coffee and tea lovers the world over. It has just released a raft of new designs, and they’re some of my favourites to date.

First up are new colour options for the brand’s iconic ‘EM77’ cafetiere and vacuum jug, designed by Erik Magnussen all the way back in 1977. The latest shades were inspired by summer breezes and Scandinavian evenings by the sea: sand, dusty green, anthracite and a wonderful light grey.

Next is the ‘Emma’ pitcher, which joins Stelton’s famous ‘Emma’ range of kettles, vacuum jugs and tableware. It has a coated stainless-steel body and a contrasting beechwood handle, and is available in pale blue and grey.

There are also two new products for drinks on the move: Maria Berntsen’s ‘Circle’ water bottle, which has a unique twisting open-close function (and no nasty chemicals in the plastic), and the ‘To Go Click’ thermal cup in various sizes and colours.

Maria Bernsten is also responsible for the ‘Twin’ serving tray, which comes in medium and large and has a striking slate insert that’s ideal for cheese and charcuterie. It’s one of two non-drink-related designs, the other being the sleek ‘Concave’ vase from Søren Refsgaard.

Finally, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the legendary Arne Jacobsen’s ‘Cylinda-line’ tea and coffee pots, Stelton has produced limited-edition items with pastel-coloured enamel coatings, as well as a champagne cooler inspired by Jacobsen’s original 1969 bar set.
