I've already shared two of my favourite exhibitions from Stockholm Design Week - 'The Sculptor's Residence' and 'The Archive' - so today I have a round-up of interesting product launches from the Stockholm Furniture Fair, which takes place at the same time. The largest trade show in the Nordic design world, it brings together more than 700 brands . . .
The Archive – a showcase of Japanese & Scandinavian design
I have another inspiring exhibition from Stockholm Design Week to share with you today, this time from Japanese brand Ariake. Each year it teams up with like-minded companies to take over a historic location somewhere in the city, and its previous efforts - 'A Quiet Reflection' and 'The Phoenix Palace' - were highlights of Design Weeks 2018 and 2019 . . .
‘The Sculptor’s Residence’ by Norm Architects, Dux & Menu
What a busy month of travel I've had. I'd barely landed back from my trip to Finnish Lapland before I was off again, this time to Stockholm for its annual Design Week. I visit every year if I can and it's always inspiring, with more than 400 exhibitions and events across the city, as well as the huge Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair taking place on its outskirts . . .

Each time of year brings its own treats, and I try to savour them all - the golden evenings of summer, the colourful leaves of autumn, the sparkling frosts of winter . . .
A stay at Design Hotel Levi in Finnish Lapland
[Advertisement - this post is based on a press trip, but all words and opinions are my own] I've spoken before about my love of travelling to cold destinations, and Lapland - the remote, sparsely populated region that stretches across northern Finland - has always held near-mystical appeal. I've long dreamt of visiting in winter to experience its silent, snow-covered wilderness . . .
