What a busy month of travel I've had. I'd barely landed back from my trip to Finnish Lapland before I was off again, this time to Stockholm for its annual Design Week. I visit every year if I can and it's always inspiring, with more than 400 exhibitions and events across the city, as well as the huge Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair taking place on its outskirts . . .
Exploring Finnish Lapland in winter
[Advertisement - this post is based on a press trip, but all words and opinions are my own] Few places have captured my heart the way Finnish Lapland did. I loved the vast skies and the fresh Arctic air (the cleanest in the world, apparently). Early spring styling with Georg Jensen’s ‘Bloom Botanica’ collection
[Advertisement - this is a paid collaboration with Georg Jensen, but as always words and opinions are my own] I love living somewhere with distinct seasons, and I always relish watching the natural world change around me. A stay at Design Hotel Levi in Finnish Lapland

I've long dreamt of visiting in winter to experience its silent, snow-covered wilderness . . .
The spring-summer 2020 collection from Northern
Happy Monday everyone! I'm currently on my way to Stockholm for the city's annual Furniture Fair - always a great opportunity to soak up lots of Nordic design inspiration. It will also give me the chance to see some of the new-season collections in person, and one I'm particularly looking forward to catching is this from Northern . . .
Sunset & starling murmurations on the Somerset Levels
Although I love living in a city, I always appreciate escaping to the countryside for a few hours, and I'm lucky that Bristol is within easy reach of some of the most beautiful parts of the UK. One of my favourite areas to visit is the Somerset Levels - a vast swathe of wildlife-rich plains and wetlands whose watery vistas and ever-changing light always feed my soul . . .
