Rustic-minimalist interiors inspiration from Tine K Home

Rustic-minimalist interiors inspiration from Tine K Home, with white linen modular sofa, contemporary black floor lamp and neutral earthy tones | These Four Walls blog

Last week I took you to a snowy Norwegian fjord, but today we’re heading to warmer climes courtesy of Danish brand Tine K Home’s spring-summer 2021 collection. It was styled and photographed at Villa Cardo in Puglia, southern Italy, and it’s a wonderful mix of dreamy escapism and useful inspiration for the home.

Designed by Studio Andrew Trotter (also responsible for renowned Puglia hotel Masseria Moroseta), the villa’s crisp white walls, architectural arches and stone floors make the perfect backdrop for Tine K’s gorgeous pieces. Over the years the brand has become known for its minimalist yet gently rustic aesthetic, and its latest offerings pair neutral colours and natural materials with contemporary, streamlined shapes. As well as indoor and outdoor furniture in bamboo and rattan, there are textural jute rugs, earthy ceramics and stunning lampshades woven from seagrass and raffia. And there are sleeker metal and wooden pieces, including tables, chairs and stools moulded from recycled aluminium.

My favourite designs include low-slung modular sofas with breezy linen covers, and clean-lined tables and benches made from accoya-treated pine. All have an air of relaxed elegance that makes me long for balmy afternoons and evenings, and their timeless simplicity means I can see them fitting seamlessly into all sorts of homes. I also love the look of the new accessories, which range from sphere-shaped glass candleholders to rustic clay pots, and the cushions and throws in soft, summery shades such as ‘Sand’, ‘Sky’ and ‘Oat’.

I won’t say any more as the beautiful images speak for themselves, so do take a look below. And if you’re wondering about the articulated black-metal floor and table lamps shown in some of the photos, they’re part of the ‘Daphine Terra’ series, created by Tommaso Cimini for Italian brand Lumina in 1975. It’s an iconic and very versatile range but it can be difficult to get hold of, so it’s great to see it now available from Tine K alongside its in-house designs.

Some photos of the gorgeous @a.__gallery, which I Some photos of the gorgeous @a.__gallery, which I visited on a recent trip to the Netherlands. Isn't it beautiful? Calm, textural and layered, with handmade pieces by an array of independent artists and artisans.

I've also interviewed Holly, founder of the gallery and interior design studio @avenue.design.studio, on my blog. I've always admired the elegant, timeless spaces she creates, and the way she reflects the architectural context of each setting. I first met her in person last year, when I featured her own home in my book, and I've since worked with her on another exciting project that I can't wait to share soon...

A few snaps from the gorgeous @gubiofficial showro A few snaps from the gorgeous @gubiofficial showroom in London, which I visited during @clerkenwelldesignweek earlier this week. I missed the opening event for this last year, so it was great to finally have a look around in person. The light is stunning, as is GUBI's selection of contemporary and classic designs - including the sculptural and futuristic F300 lounge chair, first designed by Pierre Paulin in the 1960s and recently relaunched.

Which room or corner is your favourite...?

Eight years ago today. Carousel posts didn't exist Eight years ago today. Carousel posts didn't exist then so I'm using our anniversary as an excuse to share some of my favourite wedding photos.

I have so many happy memories from the day, but what I remember the most is all the laughter. And the funniest best men's (Chris had four!) speech I've ever heard. I wish we'd had a videographer just to capture that.

Anyway, thanks @small_round_things for the last eight years - and for the 13 before we actually got around to tying the knot!
