Soft minimalism from Tine K Home’s latest collection

September 15, 2021

Cotemporary beige living room with neutral earthy colours and natural materials | Soft from Tine K Home's latest collection | These Four Walls blog

I have some more new-season gorgeousness to share with you today, this time from Tine K Home. I always look forward to its collections as much for the beautiful locations as anything else, and the latest hasn’t disappointed. Styled and photographed at a contemporary timber-clad house on the Danish coast, it’s a great example of how minimalist design can be warm, soft and welcoming.

Founded in 1999 by Tine Kjeldsen and her husband Jacob Fossum, and now available via international stockists as well as its own web shop, Tine K Home is known for its distinctive blend of pared-back Scandinavian style and Mediterranean rusticity. Its furniture, lighting and accessories pair clean, understated lines with earthy tones and natural textures, and sustainable materials such as bamboo and recycled aluminium feature heavily.

I was instantly captivated by the stunning colour palette in the brand’s just-released autumn-winter press images, and it’s perfect for slow days at home. The sandy beiges, pale greys and weathered woods are wonderfully soothing, reflecting the landscape outside and bringing a bit of nature indoors as we hunker down against the cold. They’re mixed in with darker shades of brown and black, which add depth and create an elegant contrast.

I also love how relaxed the overall aesthetic is: there are blankets draped haphazardly over sofas, canvases propped up against the walls, and piles of books used as stands for sculptures and lamps. It just goes to show that our homes don’t have to be flawless to be beautiful, and that lived-in spaces can be just as inspiring as magazine-perfect houses. Of course a lot of effort will have gone into setting up these scenes, but the look is realistic and accessible rather than overly styled and formal.

I’m not going to say any more as the photos speak for themselves, so just scroll down for lots more soft, minimalist interiors inspiration….

Eight years ago today. Carousel posts didn't exist Eight years ago today. Carousel posts didn't exist then so I'm using our anniversary as an excuse to share some of my favourite wedding photos.

I have so many happy memories from the day, but what I remember the most is all the laughter. And the funniest best men's (Chris had four!) speech I've ever heard. I wish we'd had a videographer just to capture that.

Anyway, thanks @small_round_things for the last eight years - and for the 13 before we actually got around to tying the knot!

I now have this design in three different colourways around the house, and this is definitely my favourite to date!

I've been a fan of their sustainable bamboo kitchens and furniture for a long time, so this was a real treat. And the space itself is full of the time-worn textures and beautiful details that always catch my eye.
