Minimalist living room with neutral decor, rattan mid-century modern chairs and beige bouclé sofa | Autumn-winter 2022 news from &Tradition | These Four Walls blog

There's no 'new finds' post from me this month, as over the next few weeks I'll be sharing a peek at some of my favourite autumn-winter 2022 interiors collections. And first up is &Tradition. The Danish brand is known for its mix of contemporary design and Scandinavian classics spanning the 1930s, 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s. This season, its focus is deepening the physical and visual qualities . . .

I'm back at my desk after a late-summer blogging break, and I'm kickstarting my September posts with a peek inside a beautiful Finnish apartment that's sure to provide lots of interiors inspiration. The home of stylist and photographer Maria Hiltunen, it sits in an early 20th-century building in the city of Tampere. It's been sensitively renovated throughout . . .

White Scandinavian-style dining room with minimalist shelving display and beige Wishbone chair | Hans J' Wegner's iconic CH24 chair gets an Ilse Crawford makeover | These Four Walls blog

[Advertisement - this post features a PR product and press event, but all words and opinions are my own] How do you reinterpret a Scandinavian classic without losing any of its original character? That was the dilemma faced by London-based designer Ilse Crawford when she was tasked by Carl Hansen & Søn with developing a new palette of colours for Hans J. Wegner's iconic CH24 'Wishbone' . . .

'Sartorial Living' - a sophisticated showroom makeover for New Works | These Four Walls blog

I always look forward to visiting the gorgeous Copenhagen showroom of New Works, which occupies the ground floor of a period townhouse and gets a yearly makeover from Swedish stylist Lotta Agaton. Dubbed 'Sartorial Living', its latest incarnation was unveiled at 3 Days of Design and I think it's my favourite yet . . .

A look inside the Vipp Loft & Vipp Garage

June 28, 2022

A look inside the Vipp Loft and Vipp Garage - a conceptual hotel and events space with minimalist interiors, industrial style and modern rustic touches from Danish design brand Vipp | These Four Walls blog

Last week I published a round-up of some of my highlights from Copenhagen's 3 Days of Design, and I'll be back with part two in a few days. But before that, I want to share a venue that I loved (and photographed!) so much that it had to have its own dedicated blog post: the HQ of Vipp, located in an old printing workshop in the waterfront neighbourhood of Islands Brygge . . .

I'm so excited to reveal what @tiffanygrantriley a I'm so excited to reveal what @tiffanygrantriley and I have been working on for the past few months: a new book!

Called Bring The Outside In, it explores how to harness the wellbeing-enhancing power of biophilic design (design that reconnects you with nature) in your own home. It's packed with clear, practical advice, plus peeks inside 12 beautiful real-life homes that demonstrate biophilic design in action in a wide range of settings, from city apartments to rural farmhouses.

I feel incredibly proud to have written one book, let alone two, and this one was extra-special for two reasons. Firstly, it's a topic that I've long been fascinated by and one that combines two of my passions, interior design and nature. And secondly, I was lucky enough to work on it with a friend. We had so much fun travelling around Europe capturing the homes featured (some very brief glimpses to whet your appetite here!) and we'll share some behind-the-scenes snippets soon.

Bring The Outside In will be published by @rylandpetersandsmall on 14th October and is available to pre-order now - just follow the link in my bio.

I've spent many happy times there over the years as one of my closest friends lives there, but she's about to move house. So, Chris and I made the most of our last visit before she relocates - and the weather was certainly kind to us!

Some photos of the gorgeous @a.__gallery, which I Some photos of the gorgeous @a.__gallery, which I visited on a recent trip to the Netherlands. Isn't it beautiful? Calm, textural and layered, with handmade pieces by an array of independent artists and artisans.

I've also interviewed Holly, founder of the gallery and interior design studio @avenue.design.studio, on my blog. I've always admired the elegant, timeless spaces she creates, and the way she reflects the architectural context of each setting. I first met her in person last year, when I featured her own home in my book, and I've since worked with her on another exciting project that I can't wait to share soon...

I missed the opening event for this last year, so it was great to finally have a look around in person. The light is stunning, as is GUBI's selection of contemporary and classic designs - including the sculptural and futuristic F300 lounge chair, first designed by Pierre Paulin in the 1960s and recently relaunched.

Which room or corner is your favourite...?
