After more than two years of cancellations and postponements, design events are back in force, and last week I headed over to Copenhagen for its annual 3 Days of Design festival. It was my first time travelling beyond the UK since Covid kicked off, and it was such a joy to be back in one of my favourite cities (somewhere I used to visit every few months) after so long away . . .
New finds | June 2022
It's time for my regular round-up of minimalist design news, and the return of industry events such as Clerkenwell Design Week and Milan's Salone del Mobile means there are plenty of interesting launches to share with you this month. There's also a bit of a sustainability theme, with most of the brands that have caught my eye using innovative techniques and recycled materials . . .
New finds | May 2022
Another new month has rolled around, so it's time for my regular round-up of interesting product launches and minimalist design finds. The spring-summer 2022 collection from Northern
I have another spring-summer 2022 collection to show you today, this time from Norwegian brand Northern - and it's one I had the pleasure of seeing in person at the recent launch of Holloways of Ludlow's new Bath store. If you haven't come across Northern before, it began life as a lighting specialist before moving into wider interiors and relaunching at the Stockholm Furniture Fair in 2018 . . .
‘Tradition Reimagined’ – a new collection from Menu
I'm starting the week - and the new month - with a look at the latest pieces from Danish favourite Menu. Details of its new additions have just been released and there's plenty of gorgeous furniture and lighting, including wall and floor lamps for its Japanese-inspired 'Hashima' lighting series and a sand-coloured Kunis Breccia option for its ever-popular 'Plinth' family . . .
