If you’re tired of winter storms and cold weather, let me take you on a virtual escape to sunnier climes courtesy of these beautiful images from Tine K Home. Styled and shot at a private villa in Portugal, they showcase the Danish brand’s spring-summer 2022 collection and I guarantee you’ll feel warmer just by looking at them!
Tine K is known for its rustic-minimalist aesthetic, and the new-season offering pairs its signature natural materials with contemporary, streamlined shapes. Called the ‘Viva’ collection, it was created around the theme of finding joy in moments of everyday life, so there are lots of pieces designed to encourage rest, mindfulness and connection: daybeds for lounging around with a book, loose-cover sofas and easy chairs where you can sit back and gaze at the view, and gorgeous tableware to make meals and drinks that little bit more special.
Among the brand-new designs are coffee tables, side tables and cylindrical stools made from strips of rattan arranged to give the appearance of grooved sides, plus a series of lamp bases sculpted from unglazed clay. There are also textured cushions, throws, ceramics and towels in warm Mediterranean-inspired hues such as terracotta and sage green. They’re perfect for adding subtle hints of colour to a neutral scheme, and they have a lovely earthiness to them. My personal favourite, though, is a spherical pendant lamp woven from raffia. It’s the kind of statement piece that will make a pared-back space really sing, and the lattice-like pattern casts beautiful shadows over the surrounding surfaces. It’s shown over a dining table, but I can also see it working brilliantly over beds and sitting areas.
As for the location house, it’s nothing short of stunning. The Brutalist-style lines and polished plaster walls offset the collection’s rustic textures perfectly, and the result is a brilliant example of how to incorporate elements of contrast into a minimalist interior. It also goes to show that spaces don’t need to be magazine-neat to be appealing, and it’s often the more relaxed, imperfect ones that really draw us in.
The photos speak for themselves, so just scroll on for plenty of decor and home-styling inspiration….
