In the last of my wedding mood boards (you can view the others here), I want to focus on a look which I think would be perfect for a country house setting – perhaps the beautiful Cornish estate of Boconnoc (we had a look around and it really is stunning), or Dewsall Court in Herefordshire. It’s also the look I suspect we’ll end up plumping for, as we’ve finally booked a venue – Pynes House in Devon, which is a wonderful, light-filled abode said to have inspired Jane Austen.
This look is all about informal elegance: lots of greenery and blousy blooms, with a soft colour palette, faded silk ribbons, antique candlesticks and flowing fabrics. The idea is to make the most of graceful period architecture while ensuring the atmosphere of the day stays relaxed, intimate and fun… I hope we manage to pull it off!
