This month's Urban Jungle Bloggers challenge was to style some of our favourite plants with lovely blooms. Sadly, time has run away with me this week and, despite buying a beautiful bunch of eucalyptus (my favourite greenery!) and autumnal wildflowers for the purpose of this post, I haven't had any time to style it! Still, I couldn't resist sharing a few photos of the flowers on their own, as . . .
Home tour | A monochrome Swedish apartment
For my latest home-tour post, I couldn’t resist sharing another beautiful Scandinavian apartment that has recently caught my eye. This striking home sits in a turn-of-the-century building in the Swedish city of Gothenburg and is decorated almost entirely in shades of off-white, black and grey. Such a limited palette would make many spaces look cold, but the huge variety of textures and patterns . . .
Vintage-style lighting (& discount!) from William & Watson
Lighting is probably one of the most important aspects of good interior design, but in my experience it’s also the trickiest to source; whenever I decorate a room, I seem to spend ages hunting far and wide for something to match whatever look I’ve conjured up in my head, often to no avail. The original eight-prong version is perhaps the most iconic, but there are also one-, two- and four-candle options, as well as a matching . . .
Room Envy | A simple but striking dining room
It’s the end of another busy week, and I’m looking forward to relaxing over a lazy, wine-fuelled Friday dinner. I reckon this beautiful Scandinavian-style dining room would make the perfect setting, so it seemed like a good choice for my second ‘Room Envy’ post (you can read the first one here). There are so many things I love about this room: the delicate silvery-grey colour on the walls, the . . .
Review | Linen bedding from Soak & Sleep
I’ve seen linen bedding popping up all over the place lately, and I love the way it looks – relaxed, inviting, effortlessly stylish. I’ve also heard that it leads to a better night’s sleep, as its loose, natural flax is more breathable, absorbs more moisture and dries faster than tightly woven fabrics. But I’ve always worried that it might feel scratchy, and I’ve been reluctant to move away . . .
