The ‘Slow Collection’ from Tine K Home

After a funny old week (my mind’s been all over the place and I haven’t slept very well), I’m looking forward to slowing down and relaxing this weekend. So, today seems like the right time to share the inspiring new ‘Slow Collection’ from Danish interiors brand Tine K Home.

Every season Tine K themes its range around a particular mood, and this one caught my eye instantly – not so much because of the products (although they’re beautiful, of course), but because of the wonderful feel it evokes.

Styled and photographed at Neuendorf House, a Mallorca villa designed by renowned British architect John Pawson, it features warm, earthy hues alongside natural textures such as rattan, linen and clay. My favourite pieces are the raffia pendant lights, the understated black stoneware plates and bowls, and the bamboo lounge furniture topped with crisp white seat pads. I’m also very taken with the bed linens, throws, robes and cushion covers, which come in dusty shades like rust-red, honey and camel. The overall vibe is sophisticated yet laid-back – perfect for lazy weekends at home.

The setting is pretty spectacular, too. A simple-looking cube set in a sprawling almond grove, the villa consists of a series of interior and exterior spaces arranged around a central courtyard, with narrow slits and square-shaped openings providing tantalising glimpses over the surrounding countryside. I love the contrast between the clean lines and sharp angles and the textured render, which was coloured with pigments from the local soil. There’s also a striking interplay between light and shade, with dramatic shadows falling across the floors and the silhouettes of nearby trees dancing on the walls.

Put together, the house and the collection form a fantastic example of rustic minimalism and a great antidote to these cold winter days. I can almost feel the sun on my skin just gazing at the photos…

    1. Thanks for the kind words. I can’t really help with the floor though – these are press photos shot in a home in Mallorca, so I don’t know where the floor tiles came from.

  2. Hi! I was wondering if you know the brand and coLour of the (rose-like) chalkpaint on a few of these pictures (photo 4 and 8 for example). I really want to paint a wall in this style and colour, but I have not yet been able to find the right one! Thanks in advance

    1. Sorry – as it’s not my house or a project I’ve been involved in I have no idea. Hope you manage to find the right one x
