The Edit | A simple, neutral Christmas

The Edit - simple, neutral Christmas decorations with bare branches, dried flowers and glass baubles | These Four Walls blog

For this month’s ‘Edit’, I’m focusing on simple, nature-inspired Christmas celebrations, with a curated selection of minimalist decorations, gift wrap and tableware in timeless, understated neutrals.

It’s actually turned into a bit of a mood board for how I plan to dress my own home this Christmas. Taking my cue from the wintry landscape around me, I want to celebrate the eerie beauty of bare branches, frost-covered fields and tangled fern fronds. So, I’ve opted for a soothing palette of browns, beiges and off-whites, with lots of natural textures such as paper, linen and clay. With the exception of the candles, I’ve also made sure to include only things that can be treasured and reused for years to come – and, as the individual pieces are incredibly versatile, they’ll give you scope to play around with different stylings in the future without having to buy anything new.

I’ll show what I do in my house – and share a few easy tutorials – over the next couple of weeks, but in the meantime I hope the below will help you get your own festive decoration off to a good start.
