Winter Flowers | A ceramics collaboration

Winter Flowers | A ceramics collaboration between Midgley Green & Jono Smart | These Four Walls blog

I wanted to start the week by sharing some photos of a beautiful collaboration between Somerset homeware brand Midgley Green, who I profiled earlier this year, and artisan Devon-based potter Jono Smart.

Entitled ‘Winter Flowers’, the collaboration celebrates the turning seasons with a series of contemporary stem vases that are perfect for displaying foraged finds. All have wonderful textures and natural colours (white, stone, charcoal) that reflect the winter landscape, and demonstrate the striking simplicity for which Jono has become known.

The collection also includes plinths designed specifically for the vases. They’re available in either charred black board or natural ash, and almost look like they float above the table surface thanks to their elegant lip design.
